Inventory — Permissions
Overview
This page documents the permissions used in the Inventory feature. Permissions are grouped by transaction and define which screens a user can access and which inventory actions and tabs are available.
For general access concepts, see: Permissions & Access
Permissions by transaction
| Permission | Grants access to |
|---|---|
| products | Full access to the Products transaction (create, edit, and manage products). |
| Permission | Grants access to |
|---|---|
| view | View warehouses and locations in read-only mode (no edits). |
| edit | View and edit warehouses and locations (create/update). |
| Permission | Grants access to |
|---|---|
| inventory management | Access Inventory Management with the ability to create requests and view only the user’s own requests (My Inventory Request). |
| see all | Requires inventory management. Allows viewing requests from all users (broader visibility in request lists). |
| administration | Requires inventory management. Administrative access to manage inventory operations and access additional operational tabs, including Inventory Entry, Inventory Catalog, Movements, and Pending Items. |

Troubleshooting access
- If you cannot access Inventory Management, confirm at least inventory management is assigned.
- If you can access Inventory Management but only see your own requests, you likely have inventory management without see all.
- If operational tabs such as Inventory Entry, Inventory Catalog, Movements, or Pending Items are missing, you likely need administration (and it also requires inventory management).
- If you cannot edit warehouses/locations, confirm edit is assigned (instead of view only).
- If you cannot create or edit products, confirm the products permission is assigned.
