Overview

The Product Requisition functionality in SARA enables users to request materials, products, or services required for their department or project. This process helps ensure that purchase requests are properly documented, approved, and tracked from creation through fulfillment.

Users can create, continue, view, reuse, and transfer requisitions in an organized and efficient way.


Features & Functionalities

  • Creating a new product requisition with details such as:
    • Description, requester, requisition type, department/project, and priority
    • Optional file attachments (quotations, supporting documents)
  • Continuing a saved requisition
  • Viewing requisition details, status, items, and logs
  • Reusing an existing requisition for repeat orders
  • Transferring expenses from one budget (department or project) to another

Who can create a requisition?
Any authorized user with purchase request permissions.

Can I modify a requisition after submission?
No. You can cancel and create a new one, or request the purchasing team to return your purchase request so you can modify it.

What happens after submission?
The requisition goes into the approvals process, and can then be monitored until it becomes a Purchase Order.

How do I check the status of my requisition?
Use the Requisitions List to see the current status and any pending actions.
