Events — Transactions
Overview
Events is a catalog for recording company gatherings, celebrations, and social activities (e.g., Christmas parties, team outings). Each event can hold a photo gallery that team members can browse in a dedicated detail page and download individually or as a ZIP archive.
For the record lifecycle, see: Workflow.
Note
This transaction follows the standard record list layout. See: Common Features
Events list
Overview
The events list (/events) is the main management screen. Users create and manage event records here, including their photo galleries.
What you will see
- The "Go to" row action only appears for ACTV events that have at least one uploaded image. Events without images do not show this action regardless of status.
- For INAC events, the row action menu shows "Delete event" in place of "Edit". Deleting an INAC event permanently removes the event record and all its images — this cannot be undone.
- The date column shows
–when no date has been assigned to an event.
What you can do here
- Edit event — the edit modal includes an image management section below the upload drop zone. Existing images can be deleted individually (with confirmation) or reordered by dragging. Reordering takes effect immediately without a separate save step.
- Delete event (INAC only) — permanently deletes the event record and all its associated images. A confirmation dialog warns that this action cannot be undone.
- Dashboard news auto-post — when images are uploaded to an event for the first time (whether during creation or a later edit), the system automatically posts a news item on the home dashboard with a link to the event gallery. If news has already been posted for that event, the post is skipped.
Event detail
Overview
The event detail page (/view-event/{id}) is a read-only gallery for a single event. It opens in a new browser tab from the "Go to" row action in the events list.
What you will see
- Event name, optional date, and notes as a page heading.
- A photo carousel with prev/next navigation controls and a thumbnail strip below. Scroll buttons appear when there are more than 10 images.
- A "Download all images" button above the carousel.
What you can do here
- Download all images — generates a ZIP archive of all photos for the event and downloads it immediately.
- Download a single image — clicking any photo in the carousel downloads that image directly.
